Grier and her family were standing outside what Lumi said was the throne room and she could hear Nick yelling from where she stood.
“A snit might be an understatement,” Granny whispered.
Lumi nodded at Granny, “he’s quite out of sorts. I’m really sorry to be bringing you all here under these circumstances. He’s really out of control right now. I don’t remember him ever yelling so much.” Lumi pouted.
“I’m really understanding why Grier said working for him was hard.” Twila blinked as a particularly loud growl of rage came from inside the room.
Grier held up a bag of coffee mints. “Good thing I had Lumi portal me into the candy plant to grab these.”
“Do you think it’ll work?” Candy questioned quietly. Honey was clutching her hand tightly as if worried.
