My chest tightened.
Frustration burned through me.
I should have handled my emotions better. Instead, I snapped at Sean—and somehow, Eve ended up caught in the middle of it.
Sean didn’t believe it when I told him that I just guessed he was messing around with other women. He already knew it was Eve who told me, and I had a feeling he would confront her.
And I promised Eve that I would keep my mouth shut if she asked him about us. But now, she wouldn’t be able to trust me.
