Eleanor went home today.
It wasn't that she didn't want to stay at the hospital and look after Edward. She wanted to go home and cook some of the dishes he loved, ones that would help him recover.
She went to the farmers' market and bought plenty of fresh ingredients.
Maybe it was because Edward's surgery had gone well and his spirits were good. Maybe it was because the divorce arrangements with Julian had been settled. Either way, Eleanor felt lighter than before.
