Nightcap was an unassuming little bar, but strictly members-only. Eleanor wasn't a member. The moment she stepped out of her car, she spotted Peter already waiting by the entrance. "Been waiting long?" she asked, walking up. "No, perfect timing." Peter led her inside to a booth. Drinks were already ordered he slid a margarita across to her. Over the first sip, Eleanor apologized. "I'm really sorry about tonight. Ruined a good dinner. I'll make it up to you properly another time." "Deal." Peter accepted the apology easily, no fuss. "Julian wanted to talk about the divorce, I take it?" He asked it casually, but Eleanor caught something careful underneath the question. She suspected, now, that this whole invitation had been engineered around getting her to talk about exactly this.
