Jaden sat on the edge of a high-end rooftop bar, his glass of whiskey untouched in front of him. The amber liquid shimmered in the dim light, but it might as well have been water. His mind, however, was a million miles away, lost in thoughts of Anna. It was strange, this feeling that had settled in his chest, like something was unraveling, slipping through his fingers.
