Aiden I had, for all intents and purposes, signed over everything I owned to Cecelia and our unborn baby. It wasn’t a lot, but I had some personal investments and a sum of cash in savings that would enable her to leave Dark Rising and start a new life if things went south. I didn’t need money, anyway. All I needed was Cecelia and our baby to be safe and sound, with or without me. Returning to the packhouse, I climbed the stairs up to my room.
