Grant asked for a meeting like we were dissolving a company.
I almost said no. Elias said I should go if I needed the ending in person. Cade offered to drive. Rhys said if Grant put a hand on me he wouldn’t make it back to the elevator.
We compromised. I went to the restaurant Grant chose. Elias waited in the car across the street. That was as much space as any of them would give.
Grant looked smaller in daylight. Tired. Angry in the way of a man who had expected me to stay convenient.
