“I want to stay here for a few days. It is not like I will be alone, Vania is here.” I said, taking a deep breath to look confident yet broken.
“But this is not how matters are resolved.” Dom knew if I stayed here, I will get recognized everywhere. So when I will die out of the blue, everybody will question them.
“Beating your wife and locking her up in the room isn’t a good way to resolve things either.” I sighed again, not even looking at his face.
“Why are you complaining so much this time? It is not like I haven’t hit you before. Remember before our marriage, I would get angry and smack you in the face. You know I have anger issues, but you are so inconsiderate that you are using them against me,” He suddenly raised his voice when I brought up the topic of abuse once again.
