Orla’s POV
I was glad they kept Henry from leaving because as soon as he saw me, he did try. Beth had told me they would keep him here. It was almost comical the way he was looking around, trying to find a safe place to go. Once the hidden group was revealed, he lost it even more.
“What the hell are you doing here? Orla can’t return. She’s dead. Orla's gone forever. She’s with Bridger. She can’t return,” Henry cried out. He was shaking his head as if his denial would somehow force me to leave.
“I’m as real as you are, Henry. You were summoned here to pay for sacrificing me to Bridger,” I replied.
“I didn’t do anything, Orla. I was taking you to Baxter when we were intercepted by Bridger. I’m sorry I wasn’t strong enough to stop him,” Henry stated as if it were the truth.
