Melina’s POV
Five days later
Things have been tense lately. My family has tried to act as normal as they could, but I knew what this meant. I don’t know how they knew, but I have to assume that Bridger is about to come for me. I know everyone is planning on fighting for me, but I feel a sense of dread rising inside me. I know that something bad is going to happen today.
I will also be fighting against Bridger. I’m not just going to stand there and let him take me. I refuse to let him continue to kill people to take everything they have. He is a vile, odious man. He doesn’t deserve to exist any longer, and I am praying that today is the day that we end him. Not just for me and Saoirse, but for everyone he’s ever targeted.
I’m heading to my doctor’s appointment with Mom soon
