Evelyn’s POV With shaky hands, I carefully picked up the pile of papers from the hidden compartment of the box. I couldn’t believe it. My heart was hammering so furiously in my chest, I swiftly placed the papers down on top of the bed, treating them as if they would dissolve from my very hands. “It’s real,” I whispered to myself.
