Evelyn’s POV
Kane switched off the shower, grabbed a large, fluffy towel and began drying the two of us off. The man wasted no time. As soon as he deemed my hair dry enough, he curled his hands around my hips and swept my feet off the floor.
I wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders, clinging to him as though he were a lifeline. My body was buzzing from the vicious storm that he’d stroked within me. In order to gain any sense of possible relief—I needed him.
A broken whine escaped the back of my throat as Kane tried to place me down on the mattress. He chuckled. “Come on,” he hushed. “I need to get you properly ready for me.”
Against my liking, Kane pulled himself back. Standing at the foot of the bed, he kept his heavy gaze set on my bare body.
