As I expected, word had traveled fast about the lab getting destroyed. This, unfortunately, placed a good portion of the pack under heavy suspicion amongst themselves.
“Who the hell would go out of their way to destroy the lab?”
“Especially when Luna Evelyn has been working so hard to restore those feral rogues from their comatose state.”
“Yeah, I even heard that she planned to develop a bunch of new healing salvants for when the soldiers are sent off.”
“Aw, that’s so sweet. I can’t believe it’s all been destroyed.”
“Honestly, it feels like sabotage to me.”
Oh, yes. Word had been spreading. Left and right, no matter where I was, people were gossiping. It had come to a group consensus that there was a rat amongst the pack. Did I think that was true?
