Evelyn’s POV I hid my tattered feelings beneath a mental mask as I headed back to the medical ward. I fixed a soft smile on my face for every person I passed through the halls. No one needed to know what was really going on beneath the surface of my facade. Not when it could easily unravel everything. It wasn’t worth the truth coming out.
