I had no idea the cots down in the medical ward were so comfortable.
It wasn’t my initial intention to head there after I left Kane last night. I wanted to return to the room I’d been staying in during my recovery. But, unfortunately, I discovered the door to be locked up, causing me to resort to a different plan.
No matter, I was just glad not to have to deal with Kane. I clutched the blanket tighter around myself and allowed my body to sink lower into the cot...Wait a minute...I didn’t have a blanket with me last night.
