Evelyn’s POV As I leave the dining room, I don’t stop as I head right out of the pack house and get into my awaiting car in the driveway. I drive away, taking a deep breath as I begin to head to the pack hospital. Since I declared that I’ll be doing the banquet preparations alone, I know that I should be putting my attention there. However, I also made a promise to attend to the feral wolves. Even if Kane was the one who I made the agreement with, I can’t let those wolves down. The drive isn’t long the hospital and soon I’ll pulling into the parking lot. As I turn off my car, I have to take another deep breath. There’s an ache in my chest as if I need to scream. It's like a force longing to get out, but it’s not quite ready. The longer I sit with it, the more I swear it’s my wolf.
