I stared back at Kane in sheer disbelief. “How is that possible though?” I asked him.
He gently shook his head, not having a single clue. “He and I have been bouncing numerous theories back at one another,” he said. “Each one is more troubling than the last.”
Kane went on to tell me how he and Henri came to the startling conclusion that Olivia’s husband was never at the battle. Which truly begged the question: what the hell was she doing there when Henri’s team found her in the first place?
