Evelyn’s POV As the wolf continues to sit in front of me, I turn and pick up the young girl standing behind me. She allows me to take her into my arms before she throws her arms around my neck and hugs me with gratitude. That’s when the doctors and nurses arrive, sprinting up and quickly restraining the feral wolf that does not struggle as they administer a sedative. I breathe out a sigh of relief, watching as a weeping woman breaks through the crowd. “Thank you, thank you!” She tells me and it occurs to me that this is the child’s mother. I give her a small smile and pass the girl off to her, watching with pride as the mother carries her daughter away - safe and sound. “Evelyn!” The call of my name makes me turn, spotting Dr. Borsheim making his way down the hall.
