Kane’s POV
As I return to my office, Bianca is hot on my heels, already making her disapproval clear.
“She’s crazy, Kane. Completely crazy!” she claims, waving her hands frantically in the air. I ignore her as I take a seat at my desk, focusing on the paperwork left for me instead.
“You gave her an inch of power and now look at what she’s doing!” Bianca continues. “She’s even more unruly and uncontrollable than before! It’s getting completely out of hand.”
If Bianca truly believes that I’ve allowed this to get out of hand then she is mistaken. Despite how it seems, I’m in control. I’m letting Evelyn play her games, allowing her to think she’s getting somewhere - but we both know that I still have the upperhand.
