Was I really going crazy?
Kane certainly made me think that I was. But I knew...I knew what I sensed in that parking lot. There was no chance that it was my growing Alpha trying to play a trick on me. As soon as that scent hit me, I was at the mercy of my creature.
That’s what I wished Kane understood.
I didn’t want to have my girl’s day ruined because this thing inside of me wasn’t able to remain calm. On Kane’s orders I was placed on strict bed rest. Any possibility of me trying to convince him that I was alright to attend the festival was a complete waste of time.
And even though, physically, my body wasn’t able to take on that amount of activity, it was just the principle of the matter. I deserved to be there as much as anyone else.
