Evelyn’s POV
I was determined. I wasn’t going to take this situation lying down.
Nor was I going to let my developing Alpha mentality take over either. I was going to confront Kane, as Diana advised.
I left the lab and made my way back toward Kane’s office. I suppressed the ugly feeling that fluttered in my chest. All I could hope for was that this Olivia woman wasn’t still around him.
I gave a firm knock on the office door; however, there was no answer. Kane wasn’t there. My brows pulled together in question as my feet mindlessly pulled me further into the room.
Disappointment swirled in my gut. I tilted my head to the side, where I suddenly spotted something on Kane’s desk. A letter.
