I sank down on the bed. I had come here as a captive and now, I had made a friend, but my very presence was putting her in danger. I had to have a talk with Damon. He couldn’t just go around scaring my friends. I spent the rest of the day in my room, unable to bring myself to eat or do anything else. The guilt was eating me alive.
