"Oh, I'm sure he did," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "After you probably filled his head with all your lies about Sera killing your grandmother."
"I didn't lie about anything," I said, my anger rising. "Sera killed my grandmother. And I will not rest until she pays for what she did."
"See?" Sharifa said, turning to Damon. "This girl is obsessed. She's paranoid. She's trying to get rid of Sera because she's threatened by her."
"I'm not threatened by her," I said. "I just want justice for my grandmother."
"Justice?" Sharifa scoffed. "You want justice? Your father is the reason why Sera suffered for three years. And you want to talk about justice? Your entire existence is an injustice to Sera."
