Samantha’s POV
Pain throbbed through my body. Every breath felt heavier than the last, and the iron chains dug into my wrists and ankles. I sank to my knees, head bowed, tears streaking my face. My strength was fading, my magic stolen by Caleb, leaving me hollow and powerless.
I had made a mistake. A fatal one. I had told Caleb about Aurora’s powers, thinking I could manipulate the situation, thinking I could protect myself. Now, everything I had built, everything I had fought for, seemed lost.
I raised my face to the night sky, the cold wind brushing my cheeks, and whispered a desperate plea.
“Moon Goddess… hear me. I have failed. I have lost my way, but I still have a purpose. Please… restore me. Restore my powers. Grant me the strength to protect what remains… to protect Aurora.”
