AURORA’S POV
“Alpha Caesar, are you insane? How are we going to get past those freaks of nature?!” Lidia half-yelled, her voice echoing slightly in the darkness.
“Shhh! Be silent or you’ll ruin our plan, they may hear us,” I hissed, instinctively clamping my hand over her mouth.
“Follow me,” I whispered.
We crept forward, careful not to make a sound. The guards at the tunnel’s entrance were drowsy, their heads bobbing as they fought sleep. With practiced ease, Lucien crouched near the rusted lock and picked it open within seconds.
