It wasn’t forceful or demanding like when Nathan had kissed me.
It was soft and gentle, his lips moving against mine with a tenderness that made me want to cry all over again.
His hands were still cupping my face and his thumbs stroked my cheekbones as he deepened the kiss slowly.
I was shocked at first, my eyes flying open even though his were closed.
Kael was kissing me, actually kissing me on the mouth. After fourteen years of only knowing him as a presence in my mind, he was here in physical form and his lips were on mine.
