Not comfortable with the way Thomas Anderson and Jake Polinski seem comfortable with each other, I decide to stay on until the private event is over. Nothing seems shady however. It turned out to be just a regular meeting with loud voices and alcoholic beverages, so I understood why he wanted the whole thing private. Wow. Never have I ever been to a meeting with such vulgar language- everyone was free to just speak as they wished as long as it impacted results.
Half-expecting Natalie to show up had me a bit unsettled too but she didn’t come.
By the end of the business part, I am mentally drained and leave the premises for the remainder of the night, leaving Mark to oversee everything while I head home for some Bryan time.
But my lover isn’t exactly in a loveable mood.
