CARMEN I moved around the side of the building, following the directions Bella had given me, when I heard voices. It was a couple of men, and they were talking low. It was close enough that I paused without meaning to, but out of instinct, out of distrust, I listened because I knew that this was too perfect. They were clearly planning something.
