As I take the seat behind my desk, a torrent of emotions flow through me. Anger, confusion, and sadness. As much as what happened is my father's fault, I can't just overlook Agatha's actions. She is the reason Maddie died, even if the potion was intended to kill me. She is the reason that Ember was able to assault my son and almost destroy his bond with Gemma. How can I just dismiss all she has done because of a rejection that happened before I was even born?
