Hailey’s POV . Ryan didn’t stop following me. I felt him before I heard his presence heavy behind me. I let out a sigh, pressing between my shoulder blades like a weight. My chest was already tight when I reached my door. I just wanted it closed, infact locked so that he stays away from me. I threw the roses on a table and continued to walk. “Hailey,” he said behind me. I kept moving. My hands forming into harmless fists. “Wait.” He called again, his deep voice echoed through the hallway. I didn’t give him a glance at all. I saw the door to my room and my hand was on the handle when his palm slammed against the door, stopping it from closing. The sound cracked through my nerves.
