Clara POV
“Chris, this is complete bullshit. Why in the world did our parents think it was a good idea to stick us in the same damn hotel room for this wedding? There’s only one king bed, and I can barely tolerate being in the same space as you without wanting to throttle you right here.”
I pushed the heavy hotel door shut behind us with more force than necessary, the loud click of the latch breaking the sudden silence of the room.
The air inside felt stuffy already, carrying the faint scent of fresh linens and whatever cleaning product they used, but my head was still spinning from all that champagne at the reception downstairs.
