Chapter 1 Lyra POV “Hey Dylan, you’re back again tonight?” I said while I wiped down the counter for what felt like the hundredth time, my rag picking up the sticky residue from spilled soda and lint from who knows where. The laundromat stretched out quiet around us, just the steady drone of a couple washers churning away in the far corner and the harsh flicker of those overhead lights that always made everything look a little grimy.
