Mia leaned in closer, her breath smelling like beer as she fixed her eyes on me, that giggly slur in her voice making her sound even more playful than usual.
"Truth or dare, Alex?" she asked, propping herself up on her elbows on the carpet, the dim party lights casting shadows across her face while the low thump of music pulsed through the room, wrapping everything in this foggy, relaxed vibe.
