I stood there leaning against that rough stone wall just outside the reception tents, watching the whole wedding ceremony wind down from a safe distance.
Ruth looked so damn pleased with herself up on that stage, all wrapped in white lace, flashing those fake smiles to everyone like she was the queen of the day.
The sun was setting low in the sky, throwing this warm golden light over everything, making the flowers and the decorations pop like they belonged in some fancy magazine.
