Laura’s POV
The night air was thick with silence, but my head was louder than ever.
I didn’t know where I was going—just that I had to leave. Leave the house, leave the suffocating truth, leave the weight that had been sitting on my chest ever since the DNA results came in.
Lillian was Luna.
The little girl who had cried herself to sleep in my memories, the sister I thought I had lost forever, the one I had mourned for—she was alive. And she had been right under my nose this entire time.
I gripped the steering wheel tighter as the city lights blurred into streaks. My hands trembled. My heart felt hollow and full all at once.
How could I tell her?
