Fred’s POV
Stepping out of Garrett's office felt like taking my first real breath in five long years.
The heavy weight has finally been lifted off my chest.
We were not completely okay yet, I knew that but we've started.
Garrett called me his brother again. He didn't push me away, and he gave me a chance to fix the mess I made. For the first time in forever, I felt like I could actually breathe without feeling guilty.
I walked down the hallway my hands shoved deep into my pockets.
Jasmine was downstairs with her family, Garrett was inside his office, and things were finally starting to calm down but as I took a few more steps toward the stairs, a sudden, strange feeling hit me.
