Jasmine’s POV
I couldn't sleep. l laid in Orson’s bed, staring at the ceiling as the hours went by. My eyes were swollen and raw from crying, my throat burned, and my chest felt hollow.
Every word I screamed at Garrett, every tear he shed, and the hate and anger sat heavily in the quiet house.
When the sun finally set, I pulled myself off the bed. My legs felt heavy and weak, but being a mama bear means you have to push through everything.
I freshened up in Orson’s ensuite trying to hopefully by myself some courage to go out of the room.
I knew Garrett would still be out there. I knew he was waiting for me and as I unlocked the bedroom door, I braced myself for another exhausting fight.
