Jasmine’s POV One of my greatest fears in life will always be losing the people that I love. And it doesn't get any worse than being at this point, spending the whole night at the hospital without knowing whether or not my mother was going to pull through. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't think. I just felt numb to everything happening around me in that moment. I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I had already lost five years without my mother, and now I could lose her forever today. Maybe I could have done more. Maybe I could have convinced her to spend the night at the Pack House instead of her cabin. Maybe I shouldn't have been so happy about sending Orson away with her. There was just a whole lot of "maybes" running through my head, over and over again, driving me insane.
