She turned her face up to look at Parker as she heard him hurry across the room, and saw him still, as did both Whitney and Milly for that matter. They were all looking at her with openly shocked expressions.
“Mummy.” Milly then suddenly giggled and pointed at her. “Your eyes are so pretty.” And then she ran over to her and smiled and really looked at her.
It was then that Bella realised it was not only her looking at them, that Venus was looking at them or had been. She was now focused on Milly, who had her hands on her face, smiling at her “Bright and pretty blue.” Milly smiled at her.
