Before I could process what Alonzo had told me, I received a message from an unknown number.
Unknown number: Your pretty maid is with me.
The message included a video of Alessia in an empty room with a rope tied around her mouth.
"s**t!" I yelled.
"Calm down," Alonzo said. "We'll find her," he assured me.
My phone buzzed again with another message.
Unknown number: You'll get her back safe and sound if you give Ashley back to us.
"Those bastards want to trade Alessia for Ashley," I thought, panicking.
"That doesn't change our plans, as long as we make them public. Relax," Alonzo reassured me.
