Meadow POV
Ivan texted me twenty minutes ago that they were on their way back to the house. Needless to say, my entire body relaxed once I knew they were all safe. I had no doubt that Ivan and Zakhar could handle that pathetic pr*ck Maximus, but that doesn't mean it isn't dangerous walking through the front door. "Mama, where is papa," Ava asks, breaking me out of my thoughts.
She truly hates it when she doesn't see him when she first wakes up. I wonder if she worries he'll disappear after not having him in her life for so long. I'll make sure to talk to her with Ivan later so she knows that we are a family. No one will leave. We might fight, but we will stay and work things out. I wish I could go back and save us all the heartache we've suffered.
