Epilogue (Ridge) I didn't sleep much the first week. Not because anything was wrong. Just because every time I closed my eyes I'd find myself awake again ten minutes later checking the bassinet. Mira noticed on the third night. "You've checked her four times," she said from the bed. "I know." "She's breathing." "I know that too." "Ridge." "Go back to sleep," I said. She was quiet for a moment. Then she said. "Come to bed." I looked at Sarah one more time.
