(Ridge) The room was dark after I turned the lamp off, with only a little light coming through the curtains from outside. It was enough to make out the shape of the bed, the window, and Mira beside me when I looked down. She lay tucked against my side with my arm around her, my hand resting over her stomach the way it always seemed to now. I did it without thinking anymore.
