The compound came into view a few minutes later. Two brothers opened the gate while the motorcycles rode through first. I followed them inside and waited until the gate closed behind the last bike. Cassidy kept hold of my hand until I brought the truck to a stop.
Several brothers were already waiting outside. Ridge stood near the entrance with Knox and Asher beside him.
Axel was talking to one of the prospects near the parking area before looking our way. Whatever they had found, everyone already knew it wasn't good.
I shut off the engine and looked at Cassidy.
"You can stay inside with Marie."
"I know."
"I won't be far."
"I know that too."
