Six weeks passed faster than I expected. Sienna had been staying with us for almost a month, and Eli had gotten used to having his aunt around every day. The wedding was tomorrow, and our house was full of bags, dresses, boxes, and things people kept bringing over. I had stopped trying to keep track of all of it.
Mira had taken control of most of the planning after I asked her to be my maid of honor. Harlow, Tessa, Marie, Sienna, and the other old ladies were standing with me as bridesmaids. Claire had somehow found a hundred things that needed doing, and Victor had learned to stay out of her way when she was planning something. Dane seemed happy to let all of them handle it.
"You're hiding."
I looked at Sienna.
"I'm sitting."
"Alone in the kitchen."
"It's my kitchen."
