I woke up Saturday morning to my phone ringing.
Rook.
"Yeah."
"You watching today?"
"That's the plan."
"Good. Keep your eyes open. Vanessa's supposed to call me later. Says she's ready to make her move."
I sat up. "Already?"
"Yeah. She doesn't want to wait too long. Says the longer she waits, the more suspicious it'll look when she calls Ridge."
"You think it'll work?"
"It better. We've been sitting on this job for too long. The client's getting impatient."
"Alright. I'll keep watching."
"Good. And Danny. Be careful. They're looking for someone. Don't get spotted."
"I won't."
He hung up.
