(Cassidy) Dane made dinner again. I didn't say anything about it being the second time this week because he was clearly using food as a way of processing things he didn't have words for yet and I wasn't going to take that from him. It was good anyway. We ate without talking much. Not the uncomfortable kind of quiet. Just the kind that settled in after a day that had asked a lot from both of us and neither of us had anything left to add to it. After dinner I cleared the plates and Dane made tea and we moved to the couch the way we always did in the evenings when there was nowhere else to be.
