(Cassidy) I wasn't waiting. That was what I told myself while I sat on the couch with a book I hadn't read a single page of for the last hour. I wasn't waiting. I was just awake. The door opened and Dane came in. He looked tired in the way he looked after a full day at The Spoke. Different from compound tired. More physical.
