Watching Damian walk out of the back door with Chipper made me feel both unsafe and safe at the same time.
I felt safe because I had all of these big, badass bikers around me who were willing to go through hell and high water for my Lola and me, not to mention, I also had Sydney and Zoey here with us as well and they're always willing to fight anyone to protect us just like I would with them.
Unfortunately, I couldn't help but to feel unsafe because I didn't have Damian by my side.
Even though I knew he was near me and he hadn't abandoned us, I still couldn't stop the strong feeling in my gut that I wasn't safe.
I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard what sounded like a plate scraping against the kitchen island and smelled some delicious food as well.
