I couldn't believe what just happened. How could she ask me for one million dollars? Lilly started to cry, and Amelia was hugging her.
"We have to give her the money. I don't want to live with them, Poppy," Lilly said. I could tell she was scared Chad and Jocelyn were going to get custody of her.
"Shh, Lilly. Everything is going to be okay. You don't have to worry about them. I won't let them take you away from me," I said
"You have to give them the money," Lilly said again. I looked at Amelia, who was looking at me,
"You need to tell BJ what happened," Amelia said, and I nodded. We walked out of the bathroom and back to where everyone was at. BJ saw me and walked over to me. "You okay? You looked upset," BJ asked.
"I will tell you about it later," I said. BJ
